- Aix-Marseille Université

Created on 1 January 2012, Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) can legitimately be considered, after its first five years mostly dedicated to its restructure as a single university, to have met its most important challenge: fusion of three universities in the region and establish a major world-ranking university.

AMU is thus a university dedicated to intensive research with partnerships throughout the world, thus ensuring its attachment and integration within its region and its place among France’s top universities according to the Shanghai classification.  AMU is a multidisciplinary university with five disciplinary sectors and comprising 19 separate bodies (faculties, schools, institutes) and one multidisciplinary sector (including ESPE IUT): https://www.univ-amu.fr/fr/public/presentation-de-luniversite
